We are a new charity called “Disability 2 Opportunity”. The building will still be rented to us, and with the help of the current volunteers, a new board and some new staff, the future looks bright.
We are hoping to expand on the wealth of information already in our hands, continue the already successful groups we run and develop an all new drop-in centre for disabled people of the region, their carers and indeed anyone who finds their life touched by disability.
We have high hopes and a wealth of ideas. At the moment we are very much focused on raising funds, and asking for donations of absolutely anything which can be put to use in the centre.
In the very near future you will see collecting tins, posters and adverts asking for volunteers and donations. There will be a questionnaire handed out to anyone we want to work with and help, and we plan to launch the new charity with a bang.
We hope that this has set the story straight, and that we can depend on your good wishes and support in the future.
